Hej Sverige! 🙂
Although, it has a reputation of being expensive city. You can still enjoy your visit when your on a tight budget like me.
I’ve been to Stockholm, Sweden last November2016. Winterfeels I know 😀 I really had a good impression to swedish people because I’ve known one, who is very loving, kind, down-to-earth and beautiful swedish woman.
So, after a couple of weeks of planning for this weekend trip, We finally made it and It goes like this….
How I get there: Copenhagen-Stockholm by Train (ACPRail) which cost 49Euro Stockholm-Copenhagen by Bus (Flixbus) which cost 22Euro
*BudgetTip: It’s better to take Train or Bus to get there to avoid the transfer fee which is cost around 15euro again for you to get to the City from Arlanda Airport or Booking ahead of time is also a good idea.
Where do I stay: Old Town Lodge from Booking.com which cost us 557Sek Breakfast already included. It is located at Baggensgatan25, Gamla stan 11131 Stockholm and because it is just located at the Old Town, we just walked from the stockholm central station to get there.
*BudgetTip: Bring your own Towel and Sheets to avoid extra charge.
What we did:
- Touring around Old Town (Gamla Stan)
- Visit Stockholm Cathedral
- Buy Souvenirs
- Ice Skate at Kungstradgarden
- Try their Glogg (mulled wine) and Pepparkakor (swedish biscuit)
(I had some Photo’s below :))
- Join Free Walking Tour
- Watch the changing of guards at The Royal Palace
*The weather gets worst because of the snow so we didn’t do that much and all the museums gets closed early.
Eventhough it’s a tough visit due to weather condition, I still enjoyed my visit to Stockholm. It amazed me in it’s own way.
There are still some things that is best captured by our own eyes.
I still want to get back to Sweden to see the other side of it especially when Spring or Summer.
Want to share your own experience after visiting Sweden? I would love to hear it. Share it with me in my comment box.
Thanks for reading guys.
